Direct expansion
A DX arrangement uses refrigerant in the cooling circuit. The original guide describes it as a common option for smaller applications where simplicity and initial cost matter.
Secondary cooling circuits
A glycol system uses a secondary fluid to distribute cooling. It can suit more complex installations, but system choice needs an assessment of the actual loads and operating requirements.
Choose by application
Compare room size, product requirements, capital budget, energy use and servicing needs. No single arrangement is best for every business. Ask the team to explain why the proposed system suits your site and what its ongoing maintenance will involve.
